The Conscience Laws and Healthcare Conference
was held on Saturday 25th July 2009. The event
was organised by the group- Doctors in
Conscience in order to examine the implications
The Victorian Abortion Law Reform Act 2008 will
have on the practice of healthcare for
conscience objectors.
The conference also considered the threat
that anti-conscience laws pose to the freedom of
thought, conscience and religion from a
cultural, political and legal perspective.

Mr Sullivan is the Secretary General of the
Federal AMA and a consultor to the Pontifical
Council for Health Care. He holds a Masters
degree in theology from Loyola University in
Chicago, and a Bachelors degree in politics from
Curtin University in Western Australia.
