Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:
Section 1. KRS 315.020 is amended to read as follows:

(5) No pharmacist licensed under the provisions of KRS Chapter 315 shall be required to perform any act or omit the performance of any act in the normal course of the practice of pharmacy if the pharmacist objects to the act or omission because of professional duty, or the pharmacist objects, as a matter of conscience, on moral, ethical, or religious grounds.

Section 2. KRS 315.121 is amended to read as follows:

(6) The refusal to act or refusal to omit any act because of a claim of conscience under Section 1 of this Act shall not be the basis for any claim of damages against the pharmacist or the pharmacy of the pharmacist and shall not be the basis for any disciplinary, recrimination, or discrimination action against the pharmacist.
